Committees

ASPHALT TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

Chair: Brent Carron, Valley Paving, Nancy Daubenburger, MnDOT

This committee meets twice per year, once at the Annual Conference and once in the summer. Issues in this committee are specific and will feed up into the Board meetings with MnDOT Operations and MnDOT Leadership.
 

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS COMMITTEE

Chair: Mary Cave, CSDZ

This committee meets as needed to organize the Associate Members Training Series and the Spring Friends and Family Event. Other issues pertinent to associate members will also be discussed.
 

ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE

Co-Chairs: Kent Peterson, BR, Jason Versteeg, Duininck

This committee meets at the Annual Conference or as needed to discuss permitting issues, the Diamond Achievement Awards, sustainability efforts, and regulatory updates.
 

DUES & FINANCE COMMITTEE

Chair: Brent Carron, Valley Paving, Inc.

Meets as needed to discuss MAPA dues and financial strategy.
 

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

Chair: Chris BEnson, Commercial ASphalt Co.

This committee will convene to consider scholarship candidates as needed.
 

SPECIFICATION WORKING GROUP

Co-Chairs: Troy Plaster, Ulland Bros., John Garrity, MnDOT

This group meets as needed to review and discuss potential specification changes.
 

FINANCE COMMITTEE

Chair: David Clement, KGM Contractors, Inc. 

This committee meets quarterly to review MAPA financial reports before they are presented to the Board, as well as review proposed annual budgets.
 

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE

Chair: Dan Schellhammer, Midstate Reclamation, Inc. 

This committee will meet as needed to devise and execute strategies for MAPA’s Workforce and Training Initiative.
