Viking’s US Bank Stadium Floor Paved with Asphalt
Park Construction Company recently paved the U.S. Bank Stadium floor prior to the placement of the turf. The mix used on this projects was SPWEB440B on the first lift and SPWEA440B on the wear course. The mix came from Commercial Asphalt’s Burnsville plant. The tolerance on this project was 1/8th inch in 10 feet so this project used 3D paving with the help of Ziegler CAT and Caterpillar Paving Products to achieve the tighter smoothness requirement. The U.S. Bank Stadium is scheduled to open this summer.
